Tapusilk draws inspiration from Mother Nature, the meticulous finesse of traditional craftsmanship, and the pride in the cultural heritage of the Vietnamese people. Tapusilk follows the philosophy that 'Simplicity is the pinnacle of refinement', honoring simplicity, elegance, and quality.
Tapusilk's silk fabric is carefully made from select mulberry leaves and silkworms of a high standard. This is combined with the unique hand-weaving technique of hundreds of artisans in a traditional craft village with a history of nearly 500 years, such as Nam Cao silk-weaving village in Thái Bình. Nam Cao is the only village in Vietnam that still continues the tradition of manually pulling silk threads.
Moreover, Tapusilk is built on a strong foundation of inheritance from the great master, Mr. Nguyễn Đình Đại, who is an artisan in the traditional craft of weaving silk. He has accumulated years of experience in exporting millions of meters of high-quality fabric to discerning international markets like France, Japan, Thailand, Laos, and more. WORDLESS LOVE
Half a century has passed, with over 12 years intimately connected to work, living in silk and being influenced by the artisan Nguyễn Đình Đại in the traditional silk-weaving village of Nam Cao, Kiến Xương, Thái Bình.
I fell in love!!! A true love that has been growing over the years. Until now, silk has become an indispensable part of my life. This love cannot be described by any words, nor can any time fade it.
Every time I hear the rhythmic sound of the loom, the clicking of the spinning wheel, the gentle sound of hands immersed in a basin of cold water on a winter afternoon carefully pulling each silk thread, everything is filled with peaceful emotions that even the noise of work cannot diminish.
Behind that stillness are people with strong and warm inner selves. And every time they express passion for their craft, dedicate themselves to their work with skillful hands, they create handmade products that are not only precious but also an expression of their deep love for each product. This is demonstrated through decades of work. From those with 5 or 10 years of experience to those with 50 years of creativity, and even those who can't remember when they became submerged in their craft, just the sound of the loom has woven them into the life of the silk-weaving industry since they were in their mother's womb."
